My name is Sobbia, mum of two energetic boys. I am a Mizan therapist and Hijama Cupping Practitioner with over 5 years of experience. Currently, I’m studying about Unani Typology.
My Mizan journey started with my own fertility struggle for 5 years. I had number of miscarriages with an irregular menstrual cycle. Despite making numerous doctor/hospital trips I was often left untreated and unanswered. I was told that miscarriages are natural/normal and I should lose weight. After having 3 miscarriages in a year I had enough; I knew I wasn’t going to get the help I needed. I found them insensitive and heart wrenching.
Through this struggle, I started to look at natural holistic alternatives methods online. This is when I read about Mizan Therapy first time and I was so impressed with the results and outcome of other women. It gave me hope, knowledge and understanding to all my unanswered questions and cleared up a lot of confusion about my reproductive health.
During this research, I was introduced to Hijama cupping. Although I was still unsure about this natural treatment, I was eager to give it a try. I did conceive the following month and with some herbs throughout my pregnancy, prayers, positive mindset I gave a natural birth to my first son!
Through this journey I realised a lot of women around me were going through similar struggle I once had. Through Mizan I learned to understand that there was a lot more than just a bleed a month and so did my training. I am very passionate about my work as a Mizan therapist. Therefore, whatever I do is with all my heart and I love to support and encourage woman to connect, love and care about their sacred womb space, physically, spiritually and mentally.
